About us

A Saudi accounting firm, for Saudi businesses

Mowazen is an accounting service for small and medium businesses. We keep the books, prepare the returns and track ZATCA deadlines, with a team of accountants who are all based in Saudi Arabia.

mowazen

Arabic, noun · from wāzana, to weigh against

  1. 1.One who balances two things until they are equal.
  2. 2.In accounting: one who balances the books until both sides agree, matching every riyal to its entry.

Name and mark

Balanced books are our promise

Every debit has its credit, and every riyal on the bank statement has its entry in the books. Our mark is the calligrapher's nuqta, the unit of proportion in Arabic script, resting over the double rule an accountant draws under a final total once it balances.

Our team

Why are all our accountants in Saudi Arabia?

We decided this from day one, even though outsourcing abroad is cheaper. Accounting isn't just data entry: it's understanding your documents, your market and your country's rules.

  1. 01

    Same week, same clock

We work Sunday to Thursday on Riyadh time and close for the same holidays you do. A message on Sunday morning reaches an accountant who's at work.

  2. 02

    Arabic is the working language

Supplier invoices, expense receipts and your conversations with us are in Arabic, and your accountant reads them as they are. We work in English too when you need it.

  3. 03

    Knows the market from inside

Regulatory terms, local bank statements and how businesses operate in the Kingdom are our accountants' daily work; nothing has to be explained from scratch.

  4. 04

    ZATCA updates as they happen

Your accountants live where the rules apply, and follow ZATCA's announcements and updates from inside the market.

  5. 05

Your numbers stay with people in the Kingdom

The people who work on your books live in Saudi Arabia and are bound by its laws, including the Personal Data Protection Law.

  6. 06

    Clear accountability

You deal with a Saudi business and an accountant you know by name, not an anonymous team behind an email address.

The difference, day to day

With teams abroad, often

  • A time difference that delays answers
  • Arabic documents that need translating or get misread
  • Holidays that don't match your calendar
  • Your financial data seen by people outside the Kingdom

With Mowazen

  • Your accountant is at work when you are
  • Your documents read as they are, in Arabic
  • The same calendar and the same holidays
  • Everyone who sees your books is in Saudi Arabia

Our principles

How we work, and why

  1. 01

    We promise what we control

We promise returns filed on time and books reconciled every month. We never promise a saving or an outcome we can't control.

  2. 02

    Books open to you

Your books are in the software the moment they're recorded, and every change carries the name of who made it.

  3. 03

A published price that never changes without agreement

A fixed price on our website, and any custom quote is agreed with you before we start.

  4. 04

We say no when we should

If the plan isn't right for you, or you need a licensed auditor, we'll tell you on the first call.
