FAQ

Before you ask

Didn't find your question? Message us on WhatsApp and one of our accountants will answer.

The service

What does the SAR 800 cover?

Bookkeeping, preparing and filing VAT returns, the annual zakat return, bank reconciliation, monthly financial reports, receivables and payables follow-up, a dedicated accountant and the cloud accounting software subscription. It does not include an external audit of your financial statements.

Do I need to buy accounting software?

No. A cloud accounting software subscription (Accrufy) is included, and we set it up for your business.

Do you do external audits?

No. An external audit has to be done by an independent licensed auditor. We keep your books and prepare everything the auditor asks for.

Pricing

Does the price include VAT?

No. The price is SAR 800 a month, plus VAT (15%).

Is there a setup fee or a charge per return?

No. Setting up your accounting software and all VAT and zakat returns are covered by the monthly price.

My volume is higher than usual. What will it cost?

If you have several branches or a high transaction volume, we agree a custom quote after the intro call and before we start, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

VAT, zakat and e-invoicing

Do you file the VAT return on my behalf?

Yes. We prepare the return and review it with you, and once you approve it we file it with ZATCA before the deadline.

My business isn't registered for VAT. Is the plan still for me?

Yes. Registration is mandatory once taxable revenue exceeds SAR 375,000 a year, and voluntary from SAR 187,500. We help you assess your position and register when needed, and we keep your books either way.

What about Phase 2 of e-invoicing (integration)?

The accounting software we use currently covers Phase 1 (generation) only; integration with the Fatoora platform isn't available in it yet. We track when your business is due and tell you in advance what's needed.

The team

Where are the accountants who work on my books?

All of them are in Saudi Arabia. We don't outsource any part of the work on our clients' books to teams outside the Kingdom.

Will I have a specific accountant?

Yes. A dedicated accountant who knows your business from the start and answers your questions on WhatsApp and email on working days.

What are your working days?

Sunday to Thursday, Riyadh time. Messages that arrive out of hours get a reply on the next working day.

Documents and software

How do I send invoices and receipts?

Upload a photo of the receipt to the accounting software, which reads its QR code, or send it to your accountant on WhatsApp or email. Bank statements are exported monthly as CSV.

Who can see my financial data?

Your dedicated accountant and the people you add to your account in the software yourself. Every change to the books appears in the audit log with who made it.

Balanced books, starting this month.

A short, no-obligation intro call with an accountant from our team in Saudi Arabia, after which we'll explain exactly how we'd run your books.
